What is a fairy tale?
It is a short story. There are sometimes elves, a prince, a princess, a giant, goblins, a witch or a fairy.
Some famous fairy tales are "Alice´s adventures in wonderland", "Beauty and the Beast", "The Emperor´s new clothes" or "The Juniper Tree".

Robert Munsch is a famous American/Canadian children's author. Some of his most popular books (that people steal) are "The Paper Bag Princess", "Mortimer", "50 Below Zero" and "Love You Forever". He tells his stories with funny voices and noises. Both children and adults enjoy his tales. You can read and listen to Robert Munsch.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Thursday was an exciting day at Joan Abelló School!

In the United States, Halloween is celebrated on October 31. Halloween activities are fun for kids and families that want to get into the spooky spirit! In our school we have done different activities such us arts&crafts, songs, worksheets…

Halloween Night

When days grow short and nights get cold
And autumn trees turn red and gold
Move, we may, through sun drenched days
‘Midst leaves and berries and bales of hay

In our hearts we feel the lure
Toward darkness, shivers and things not pure
While ghostly shadows creep slowly by
Spying on witches and brooms that fly

Icy fingers that grab their prey
And do bad things 'til night turns to day
Heed this plea to stay inside…
Find covers and blankets and sheets to hide

Slowly this night will fade to day
And fiends and monsters will crawl away
Once a year, on this dank night
We’ll shake and shiver ‘til morning light

CLASSROOM OBJECTS

This is an activity to revise the vocabulary about classroom objects. Let's see how many you know! Enjoy!
